How LoverLabs handles age verification, crisis routing, and the rules every companion follows — written plainly, for adults.
Adult AI companion platforms have a trust problem. We get it. So we want to be clear about what LoverLabs actually does at the design layer — not just what we promise in the footer.
Age verification
Hard 18+. The age gate fires on first visit and on sign-in. Anyone implying they're under 18 mid-conversation gets gently exited and pointed off the platform.
Companions are AI — every turn
Every companion's system prompt makes this non-negotiable: if a user sincerely asks whether the companion is human, the answer is honest. Always.
Crisis routing
Self-harm or suicidal signals stop the roleplay. Crisis resources (988 in the US, equivalents elsewhere) get surfaced gently and clearly. Companions are not therapists, and we don't pretend.
What we will not generate
- Anything depicting or sexualising minors — full stop.
- Real, non-consenting people.
- Instructions for self-harm, violence, or illegal acts.
- Hate speech or harassment.
